Collective Liberation 101: Living Abolition Now

How can we live the abolitionist future that we want to see?

We’re continuing our Collective Liberation 101 series this month with further discussion on abolition. It is easy to see what we want systems to stop doing to us, but it’s harder to see what we are doing to each other. Abolition isn’t just about ending systems of incarceration, it’s also about building new liberated ways of being together.

In this episode, we talk about how carceral behavior harms our relationships and our movements - and what we can do to live our abolitionist values today while we fight these systems.

If you want to investigate your own relationships and movement work for carceral behavior, I’ve made a handy downloadable worksheet of questions you can ask yourself and your peers. This is a great starting point for finding opportunities to further liberate your relationships and movement work.
